WINTER A GO-GO half sheet movie poster (1965) - Ski In The Movies (Part 2)
Mainly known for its music and surf movies, the sixties’ Go-Go Mania didn’t spare the winter sports either. The ski bum movement (see Part 7 of this Blog) was nascent back then and very innocent.
Winter A Go-Go is typical mid-sixties movies with tried formulas. Rather than the Sandy beaches of California, this time it takes place in the ski slopes and lodges of Colorado. Half naked young ladies enjoying skiing in bikinis, young teens romancing while enjoying sports activities and dancing to groovy music (see trailer here)
Among the many crap movies of that era, this one (see trailer) has not only decent music and great girl band the Ski-Honeys ! but an amazing intro sequence focused entirely on legs (worth checking as it is very well filmed)
